Entry #2. The Life of Pets.
Dogs, cats, snakes, bunnies, birds, fish, all of which make great pets! Most households in the U.S. have at least one pet, not a shocker right?!
Although having a pet can be super fun and cool, having a pet also comes with lots of responsibilities which can be very time consuming and tiring. You have to wash pets and keep them clean, feed them, make sure they have good hygiene, keep them healthy, and of course spend time with them. It all sounds like a lot of work and in reality it is a lot of work, which is why many people choose to simply just not do those things. It's sad to think that not all pets in the world are appreciated and loved. Sure, pets can be a real handful sometimes but just think about all of things that they do for us.
Have you ever thought about all the things that they provide us with? For example, owning a pet gives the perfect opportunity to increase fitness by getting outside, exercising, and socializing. Doesn't that sound great!? Not to mention, the bond between people and their pets can lower stress and bring happiness to their owners. Also, did you know that having a pet can help with feelings of loneliness and depression due to their loyal companionship. That's right! A pet can make as the perfect friend, I mean we technically are their only friends. Think about it, pets might just be a small part of our lives, but to them, we are their whole life. Everything that they do, they include us in. So if they can give us all of their love, why can't we give them ours?
In short, before deciding to get a pet there are lots of things to consider, but whether you are a dog or a cat person, having a pet is an extraordinary and a special experience! At the end of the day having a pet has lots of benefits and, in my opinion, is worth it.
As an animal lover I really enjoyed you blog a ton. You brought up some really great aspects of having a pet or wanting one. Like when you touched on how having a pet is a very big responsibility. Unfortunately some people jump into getting one and don't take in account of the work that is involved.
ReplyDeleteI love that you sound so enthusiastic when explaining what it's like having a pet. I personally have two dogs myself, a chihuahua and a shitzu, and I love them so much! When you said that having a pet can bring happiness to their owners, I 100% agree. Every time I feel upset, my dogs make me feel better.
ReplyDeleteI like the use of pictures you included, it makes your blog more visually appealing. I also really agree with the message you were sending.
